Credit score hurt due to low card limits?

My Experian credit report tells me:
—Having low credit limits on your accounts and loans is lowering your score. Having a high amount of credit is a positive factor because it indicates to lenders that other creditors have trusted you by lending you money in the past. However, since your major credit card limits are generally low, lenders may think you don’t have enough experience with high limits.
I have never had a late payment and have no outstanding debt beside my mortgage, which has always been paid on time. I also have NEVER taken out above 30% of the credit limit at any given time.
I also have 3 credit cards, one with a 00 limit, one with a 00 limit and a platinum card with a 00 limit.
My current credit score has leveled off at 737 but I want to reach the 770+ mark. Should I close my 00 limit card to boost my score? Or…about what magic amount of credit line (00+?!) will take the low credit plague off my report?
Will a forebearance on my student loan lower my credit score?

I am trying to buy a house and expect to close in 45 days. My money is tight due to down payment, closing costs, moving costs, etc. I am thinking of getting a forbearance on my student loan so I save some money but I don’t want to do it if it will lessen my credit score and jeopardize my mortgage approval.
How can I get a mortgage with a 480 credit score?
Posted in: Low Credit Score Mortgage Tags: co borrower, credit score, deliquent accounts, fha loan, money, time buyer
I have an average 480 credit score but a local lender told me I needed at least a 580 to qualify for a FHA loan (1st time buyer/low down pmt). My boyfriend (co-borrower) has a 700+ credit score and they still wouldn’t loan us the money. Our income is decent and I have started cleaning up my deliquent accounts, what can I do to get into a house now?
Low Credit Mortgage/FHA questions/ADVICE needed?

My boyfriend and I are wanting to purchase a house around ,000. When I figure our income and dept to income ratio I come up with that we can afford a house over 0,000. (But we are set on the house at ,000) However, I have very low credit (mistakes I made a few years ago, charge offs, collections, etc) I have a student loan in good standing and have never been late, but that’s about the only good thing. He has a auto loan, but the bank did not report his payment history for the first 10 months of it, so his length of having credit is fairly short, and that loan and a previous auto loan that was in perfect standing are the only thing on his credit report. His Experian score is 633, but we were told by a bank his median score is 593. That same bank wants us to pay 0 for the underwriting process. We are first time home buyers, so I just want to know what our options are. What is the possibility of finding a place to approve us? We will save a lot of money purchasing a home, compared to our high rent. I figured that in the past 5 years I alone have spent around ,000 RENTING! Should we go through with the underwriting, should we try to contact a broker, should we wait? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I need a mortgage but my credit is HORRIBLE!?

I need a mortage but my credit is HORRIBLE due to an overzealous ex-husband and his get rich quick schemes. I have since left the marriage and I am on my own with three children. I have a really good position with an established firm and I make a good salary. I am near completion of my PhD but my credit score is about the lowest in the nation. Last time I checked, the medium score was 480. I recently, began, for the first time to repair my credit but this takes time. I’ve already paid money down on the house, which was a hugs mistake, since I should have checked my credit first. I’ve looked around and was told that Bank of America would work with people with low credit scores but a call to them was left unreturned. I live in Florida. Any suggestions on companies that I might approach? Because of my credit predicament, I am sure my rates would be over the roof, but right now, I need a mortgage and will refinance when my score is in a better place.
Your thoughts please…
If I have bad credit can I get a mortgage?

I hit a bad spell with my credit. I had perfect credit for years, but when the economy went bad I had to literally live off my credit cards. I am now settling with my debt collectors. I want to purchase a home next year this time. Can I get a mortgage with a lower credit score? I am making good money and putting back as much as I can. I am hoping to be able to put down at least 10%.

Is it better off to pay cash for a house being self employed with a low 600 credit score?
Posted in: Low Credit Score Mortgage Tags: 3 years, credit rating, internet biz, money, mortgage
My internet biz has took off and making 250k this year, but i hear that to qualify for a mortgage is increasing difficult, especially for self-employed that’s always been more difficult, with my low credit rating, am i better off just save 2-3 years of money and buy the house with cash then to find a lender today?
What is the current disqualifying credit score that mortgage lenders have earmarked?
Let’s say someone wants to get out of having to buy a new property they had put down a deposit for a couple years ago.
The only way I see to get that money back as stated in the contract is to disqualify for the loan per the developer’s selected lender. How can I do that?
So I’m wondering how low do I have to get my credit score to ensure I won’t qualify?!
Will My husband and I qualify for a mortgage with credit scores in the low 600's and a recent bankruptcy?
Posted in: Low Credit Score Mortgage Tags: annual income, auto loans, car payments, credit card, credit cards, credit scores, jan 2005, money, mortgage
I want to know if my husband and I will qualify for a mortgage. WE have a bankrupcty file that was discharged on jan 2005. Our credit scores are in the low 600’s, we both hace auto loans and major credit cards that are in good standing. Our annual income is 60,000 gross but we don’t have any money for a down payment. I just don’t want to walk into a bank and look like an idiot!
Thanks
We do not have alot of debt we both have reasonable car payments and a credit card each with a 300 credit limit, so i would hope that would help not hurt us by showing that we are on the right road after filing.
