My aunt has owned a home for the last 10 years, just
recently she was in a very bad situation where she got
behind on her mortgage. She is now caught up and in
good standing but her credit check doesn’t show this.
How long until it shows up and how soon will her credit
score begin to increase? Al

My aunt has owned a home for the last 10 years, just

behind on her mortgage. She is now caught up and in
good standing but her credit check doesn’t show this.
How long until it shows up and how soon will her credit
score begin to increase? Also her score is very low
around 550. Is there any chance she would be able
to get a new home loan? We are trying to get her into
a smaller home. Thanks

My husband and I are thinking about maybe purchasing a condo. We’re not entirely sure yet. I would like to check online with our bank to see about what we "prequalify" for, but I heard somewhere that when they run a credit check it lowers our score? Why? I think that’s unfair… does it hurt us if I just check on the prequalification?
He’s in the army, so we might go with a VA loan anyway, but we don’t have the greatest credit… we’re newly weds, so we don’t have a long history. We pay our bills on time. What we want to buy is only ,000, so I would think we might be okay to get something, but I REALLY don’t want to drop our score if I can help it.
We’re getting out of the army, thank god. The army sucks.
