How good of a mortgage rate can someone get for having an excellent credit score? Over 800?
Post date: August 23rd, 2011
I recently got a quote for a 30 yr. fixed rate mortgage of 6.75% and was wondering if that was a good rate considering I have an excellent credit score. I simply thought it would have been lower, and did not know if it were negotiable.
Will being added to my girlfriend's CC with good history help my credit score?

Also, will my poor credit pull down HER SCORE if she adds me? The CC in question is a low credit Master Card. What if she adds me as an authorized payor to her mortgage payment? Will that help my credit score?

A thief of a mortgage company has charged my parents an arm and a leg for their mortgage and is forcing them to leave. Their credit score is low preventing them from getting an apartment or a loan to get an apartment. Where do you suggest to go and get a ,000 loan with a credit score of 550-560. There mortage was 650 then in time rose to 1343 a month preventing them to so they have to move.

What is the best way to improve credit score if I have no credit?
Post date: August 14th, 2011
I am debt free and have been since my bankruptcy over 12 years ago. I recently looked into getting a mortgage, but was told I can’t get one because my credit score is too low. I went on freecreditreport.com and got a copy and there are some things on there that are not identified, and I don’t know what they are. So, how do I have those removed? I am assuming that will improve my credit score so I can get a mortgage. Advice is appreciated!

Can no deductions hurt your credit score?
Post date: August 3rd, 2011
I am wondering, if owing alot (14K) at tax time in federal taxes each year hurt your credit score?
Here’s the situation: Have tenants who have been renting from us for 13 years. We’ve decided to sell the house. They want to buy it.
They said they can’t get a low interest mortgage because their credit score is low due to the fact that: come tax time each year, they owe alot (14K) in federal taxes because they make too much money (100K +). They own everything outright, don’t have any deductions and because of this, it’s hurting their credit score…
I’m confused and wondering if they’re feeding me a line of bull. How can having no bills hurt your credit score. I know when they moved in and started renting, they were in a bad financial place. Only planned to stay renting for a few years, but fell in love with the area and the house. They have been bugging us for the past 5 years to sell them the house.
They said they are having their accountant work on having it taken off their credit score and it will take a few months to get it fixed. I don’t want to wait a few months for nothing if they’re lying and come spring, still no loan.
Need ideas for consolidating debt, wife has low income, I have low credit score?
Post date: July 31st, 2011
We have been in our home approximately 1.5 years. Home was purchased at 4K w/ down payment of K. Mortgage amount was 4K. The homes in our neighborhood are selling between 0K and 0K. I’ve made several improvements to the home to put the price somewhere in the middle of these ranges. We would like to get K to K to pay off credit cards and make improvements.
The problem: I have terrible credit but my income is good. Our bank has turned us down for a HELOC because combined, our income is good but our credit is not. They won’t give it to my wife alone because her credit is great, but her income is not. Do we have any alternatives? Should we try other banks that may be willing to work with our unique situation? Any ideas?
