Lowest possible credit score to open Mortgage?
Post date: January 31st, 2012
Okay well I am a Freshmen in College right now (23 years old) and my credit score isn’t very good. 532. To be accepted for a mortgage of 100-200K what would be the minimum score generally accepted to open a mortgage on a house.
Thanks

Can you even get a mortgage with a low credit rating?
Post date: September 12th, 2011
My husband and I had decent credit a year ago. Now our limits have been cut and our scores have dropped. But we want to buy a house. Houses in our area are starting to drop dramatically. We can secure a down payment of about 5%. But are lenders lending??

Do regular inquiries hurt my credit score?
Post date: September 9th, 2011
Do all regular inquiries (individual or participant) hurt my credit score? I’m looking at my report now and see that some have "permissible purpose" typed next to that specific inquiry. What exactly does lower one’s credit score (example: applying for a credit card, mortgage, loan…etc)…Thanks.

Joint Application on Mortgage – Credit scores?
Post date: August 31st, 2011
If my husband and I apply jointly, I have been told they will use the lower middle score. Does that mean they will take his middle score and my middle score and then use whichever is lowest?
Also, looking at the scenario below, what do you think the minimum lower middle credit score needed to qualify for a loan:
- First time home buyers seeking approx 0,000 loan
- Approx 0,000 annual income
- 10% Down
- Under ,000 debt (student loan)
- 6 months reserve fund
- Stable job history
Our issue is that one of us has okay credit and the other not so great. Our middle score is 603 for one and 660 for the other, but they would take the 603 give its the lower. Will this prevent us from getting a loan with our other strong points?
if my credit score is decent, but my income is low at the moment, would a cosigner help me to get a mortgage?

Why is your FICO score directly related to your mortgage insurance?
Post date: August 25th, 2011
If you have a score that gets you 6.25% 30 year fixed rate. How can the insurance company judge your rate on your credit scores. If you have a low score, you should not get a home loan.
